What do FTC rules say about supplement reviews?
Fake reviews are illegal. A 2024 Federal Trade Commission rule bans fake or AI-generated reviews and testimonials, and it allows civil penalties against businesses that use them (FTC, Fake reviews rule).
Real reviews have limits too. The FTC says health claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence, and testimonials cannot replace that evidence (FTC, Health claims). So even a genuine five-star story cannot show that MemoPryl works for memory.
