MemoPryl Ingredients: The Eight Names Behind the Formula
MemoPryl names eight ingredients in total.
Six come from the brand graphics: phosphatidylserine, ginkgo biloba leaf, acetyl-L-carnitine, St. John's wort, brahmi (bacopa) and L-glutamine. The seller's list adds alpha-GPC and huperzine A.
If you take prescription drugs, read side effects and interactions before the first capsule.

Check first
Which MemoPryl ingredients need a medicine check?
Two of the eight, St. John's wort and huperzine A, can change how medicines work. Neither caution appears on any bottle image we have.
St. John's wort can weaken birth control pills, warfarin, digoxin, cyclosporine, some statins and some seizure, HIV and cancer drugs. With some antidepressants it can cause serotonin side effects. NCCIH calls some of these interactions life-threatening (NCCIH, St. John's wort); details are on the St. John's wort page. Huperzine A, listed by the eBay seller, works much like prescription Alzheimer's drugs. It may add to donepezil-type side effects, slow the heart and worsen some epilepsy (ADDF, Huperzine A).
Show your pharmacist this list first. Keep taking your prescribed medicine, and never stop or change a dose on your own.
Where the names come from
Where does each MemoPryl ingredient name come from?
From two places: the brand graphic "Inside MemoPryl" and the item specifics on the live eBay listing. They do not match exactly.
The eBay listing splits its names into "active" and "other" and adds two that the graphic leaves out (eBay listing, MemoPryl). Nobody has told us which label version holds those two.
| Name as written | Brand graphic | eBay listing |
|---|---|---|
| Phosphatidylserine | Yes | Active |
| Ginkgo biloba Leaf | Yes | Active |
| N-Acetyl L-Carnitine HCl | Yes | Active |
| St. John's Wort | Yes | Active |
| Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) | Yes | Other |
| L-Glutamine | Yes | Other |
| Alpha glycerylphosphorylcholine | Not shown | Other |
| Huperzine-A | Not shown | Other |

Amounts
How much of each ingredient is in MemoPryl?
Nobody outside the maker can say yet. We have not seen a Supplement Facts panel for either bottle version.
Every line below reads "Not shown" for that reason.

- 2Ginkgo biloba leafGinkgo biloba Leaf · Not shown in our materials

- 8Huperzine AHuperzine-A (eBay listing only) · Not shown; listed by the eBay seller
Six ingredients appear on the brand graphics; the eBay seller lists two more. No amounts were available to us.
Bacopa trials usually used about 300 mg a day (ADDF, Bacopa), and acetyl-L-carnitine trials 1 to 3 g (NIH ODS, Carnitine). Eight ingredients at those levels would not fit in a capsule or two. Some are likely lower, but without the panel that stays a guess.
What to ask
What should you ask the seller about the MemoPryl formula?
Ask for a clear photo of the Supplement Facts panel on the bottle you will receive. Four questions cover the gaps.
Which label version ships?
"Advanced Formula" with 60 capsules, or "Cognitive Support Formula" with 30.
Are alpha-GPC and huperzine A inside?
Ask for a yes or no for each version.
How many milligrams of each?
Ask for the amount per serving, the serving size and any proprietary blend.
What warnings are printed?
Ask for the whole back panel, including other ingredients and directions.

What do L-glutamine and alpha-GPC do in MemoPryl?
MemoPryl's graphics give no reason. Neither has good memory evidence in healthy adults, so both get a short note here.
L-glutamine
L-glutamine is a common amino acid, used in cancer care and after surgery rather than for memory (MSKCC, Glutamine). Despite the similar name, it differs from glutamate. Reported side effects include swelling, headache, fever and nausea. Case reports describe liver injury, and kidney injury at 18 g a day taken long term.
Alpha-GPC
Alpha-GPC is a choline source. The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation found no studies in healthy people (ADDF, Alpha-GPC). In dementia it may help thinking at 1,200 mg a day. Heartburn, headache, insomnia, dizziness and confusion are reported. Only the eBay seller lists it.
Two labels
Do both MemoPryl bottles have the same ingredients?
Unknown. The two label versions make different front claims, and neither back panel is in any image we have.
The 60-capsule NutraVibe bottle says "Supports Concentration*", while the 30-capsule bottle says "Supports Focus*". A new claim can mean a new recipe or just a new design. The label page compares both fronts.
Other sellers use the MemoPryl name, sometimes for different formulas. Match your bottle to the label shown here, and contact the seller you paid if you bought elsewhere.
Your bottle
How do you check the MemoPryl ingredients on your own bottle?
Read the Supplement Facts panel before the first capsule, then compare it with the eight names above.
- Find the serving size and follow it exactly.
- Look for St. John's wort and huperzine A by name.
- Compare any milligram amounts with the studied doses on the cards.
- Photograph the panel and keep it with your medicine list.
A panel with very different names may mean a different product. Keep the bottle and order email, and read side effects by ingredient.
FAQ
MemoPryl ingredients FAQ
Is huperzine A in every MemoPryl bottle?
We cannot confirm that it is. The eBay seller lists huperzine A, but the brand's own graphic does not show it, and nobody has said which version holds it. It works much like prescription Alzheimer's drugs and may slow the heart (ADDF, Huperzine A). Check your panel and ask a pharmacist if you take heart or dementia medicine.
Why would a focus supplement include St. John's wort?
The brand gives no reason. St. John's wort is studied mainly for mild to moderate depression, and NCCIH offers no memory evidence for it (NCCIH, St. John's wort). For buyers it matters mostly as a safety issue, because it can weaken birth control, warfarin and many other prescription drugs.
Are the MemoPryl ingredient amounts listed anywhere?
Not in any material we have. Neither version's Supplement Facts panel was available to us, and the eBay listing names ingredients without milligrams. Until a panel photo is published, follow the serving printed on your bottle and compare its amounts with the studied doses on the cards above.
Is MemoPryl gluten free or vegetarian?
Brand badges say vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free, but no certifier or test is named for any of them. The capsule material and other ingredients are not shown in our materials. With an allergy or a strict diet, read the other ingredients line on your bottle first.
Is the L-glutamine in MemoPryl bad for the brain?
No source we use links L-glutamine to brain harm. It is an amino acid used mainly in cancer care and after surgery, and it differs from glutamate (MSKCC, Glutamine). The rare liver and kidney injury reports involved large doses, such as 18 g a day taken long term.
Does alpha-GPC help memory?
Not in healthy adults, as far as research shows. The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation found no studies in healthy people; the trials it describes were in dementia, at 1,200 mg a day (ADDF, Alpha-GPC). MemoPryl's amount is unknown, and only the eBay seller lists alpha-GPC.
